Akron Office Questions
What patients ask before their first visit to our S Arlington Rd office in Akron: where to find us, whether you need an appointment, what we service, and which insurance plans we take.
We are at 2828 S Arlington Rd Unit 1, Akron, OH 44312, in south Akron between Waterloo Rd and the I 77 interchange. The office is a short drive from Green, Barberton, Portage Lakes, Mogadore, and Coventry Township, and parking is right outside the door. This is also the base of operations for GET LOOPED, our Auracast and hearing loop installation arm, so venue and facility conversations usually happen here too. Use the directions button above to open turn-by-turn navigation, or call (330) 785-0800 and we will talk you in.
The Akron office runs by appointment, which is how we keep a full audiometric assessment and the conversation that follows from being rushed. Call (330) 785-0800 or send an appointment request through this site and we will call you back to find a time. If a hearing aid stops working or an ear feels blocked, say so when you reach us. Quick service visits and earwax removal are usually easier to slot in than a first evaluation, and we would rather sort it out this week than have you wait.
Yes. Our Akron office handles hearing aid repair for every brand, no matter where the device was purchased. Cleaning, vacuuming, battery and receiver replacement, casings, and small component swaps are done in office, and we hold direct relationships with all the major manufacturers for anything that has to go back to the factory. Plenty of our Summit County patients first came in because the clinic that sold them their aids closed, moved, or stopped returning calls. Bring the devices and any paperwork you still have, and we will tell you honestly whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense. See hearing aid repairs for details.
Advanced EARGEAR is credentialed with every Medicare supplement plan, plus Anthem, Aetna, Humana, Medicare Gold, and UnitedHealthcare. That credentialing is practice-wide, so your coverage works the same in Akron as it does at our Newark, Newcomerstown, and Zanesville offices. Hearing benefits vary a lot from plan to plan, and the fine print is where most people get surprised, so call (330) 785-0800 with your plan details and we will check what your policy covers before you commit to anything. For patients paying out of pocket, CareCredit financing is available. Our insurance and financing page covers both.
