Advanced EARGEAR · Four Offices Across Ohio

Accessibility Statement

Advanced EARGEAR is committed to ensuring that our website and our offices are accessible to all patients and visitors — including those with disabilities. Accessibility sits close to the heart of what we do: our entire practice exists to remove a barrier to communication, and we believe every person deserves equal access to hearing healthcare information and the support that goes with it.

Web Accessibility

We strive to make our website, advancedeargear.com, conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, or voice control software.

Our ongoing accessibility efforts include:

  • Providing descriptive alt text for images throughout the site;
  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and background elements;
  • Using semantic HTML to support screen readers and other assistive technologies;
  • Making all interactive elements keyboard-navigable;
  • Writing clear, plain-language content that is easy to understand; and
  • Ensuring forms include visible labels and helpful error messages.

We are actively working to identify and resolve any remaining accessibility barriers. If you encounter a problem accessing any part of this website, please contact us and we will make every reasonable effort to provide the information in an accessible format.

In-Office Accessibility

We see patients at four Ohio offices:

  • Akron — 2828 S Arlington Rd Unit 1, Akron, OH 44312 · (330) 785-0800
  • Newark — 843 N 21st St Ste 111, Newark, OH 43055 · (740) 920-4608
  • Newcomerstown — 210 Cross St, Newcomerstown, OH 43832 · (740) 920-4609
  • Zanesville — 601 Underwood St Rm 1, Zanesville, OH 43701 · (740) 920-4609

Because our offices differ in layout and in the buildings that house them, we encourage you to call ahead about any specific access need — mobility, transportation, communication support, or anything else. We will tell you exactly what to expect at that location and make every reasonable accommodation we can.

Practices that apply across all four offices:

  • Paperwork completed together — we never hand a clipboard across a counter. A staff member sits down and works through the case history and forms with you, which removes a barrier for anyone who finds written paperwork difficult;
  • Quiet, private testing — hearing assessment requires a controlled listening environment, so appointments happen in quiet rooms away from waiting-area noise;
  • Unhurried appointments — we schedule by appointment so patients with sensory, mobility, or communication needs get the time and space the visit actually requires; and
  • Advance notice helps — telling us about an access need when you book lets our team prepare for it before you arrive.

If you have a specific accessibility need, please call before your visit and we will do our best to accommodate you. Reach our Akron office at (330) 785-0800, or call the location nearest you using the numbers above.

Limitations

While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across this site, some content may not yet fully conform. We are committed to continuous improvement and will address identified issues as resources allow. Third-party content or linked external sites are beyond our direct control and may not meet the same accessibility standards.
